1 September 2004 - BacPac v6 adds support
for disk copy across network
BacPac can now do a disk copy across a network. This can be an image copy from
one disk to another (duplicating the disk), or just some files or directories.
Compression is optional and can reduce the network traffic and transfer time.
So, instead of making a saveset to send to a second site (for disaster recovery
purposes), you can just duplicate the disk and save the restore time if you need
to recover on the second site. The more disks that are involved, the more the
time saved in restoring.
